Naasif Hassan Blog Post ICBR Basketball (September 30th) Edit of a video our cameraman, Malik Abraham of the final game of the season Islamic Center Baton Rouge Basketball League Commissioner Islamic Center Basketball is a league that me, Naasif Hassan, Abdullah Shahid, Yousef Mosleh, and Tabarak Abdul-Aziz have created for the muslim community in Baton Rouge. The event started in July and has ended early this month. Before we created this league, we used to play pick up basketball together at random courts with the same community. There were sometimes where we would have 30 people appear to our pickup basketball runs and were constantly getting kicked out of different courts. At the start of the summer, June, the indoor basketball gym was finished being built along with the paint. It took an immense amount of preparation to build this league together. My role was to organize the different rules we needed to allow the basketball games to run smoothly. I had to take in consideratio
