Islamic Cultural Event (3 hours) As a masters student in pharmacology at Tulane School of Medicine it is always important to spend your free time giving back to the community. This month I attended an event that was held by the Islamic board of masjid Al-Rahman that was hosted by LSU MSA. Due to graduating from LSU MSA and being part of the board of the club it was great going back and volunteer to help with simple tasks as cleaning up and serving food to the members. The event was held in the Cultural Convention center on LSU campus and it was to collaborate different cultures from different countries across the Middle East and South Asian countries. Groups made presentations about the history and the cultural aspect of their country and presented to the club which also had an outcome of over 30 people. This gathering was nostalgic because it reminded of my days in the undergraduate program and seeing the people that were once young to now becoming juniors and seniors in the club. It ...
